Michael Jackson has begun recording a song he wrote for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
According to U.S. magazine Billboard, the recording sessions have taken place in a Los Angeles studio and Jackson has participated via phone and satellite from London.
Ciara, Snoop Dogg and Shirley Caesar have been spotted at Los Angeles' Conway Studios - sparking rumors they will also feature on the single.
Jackson worked on the music at a recording studio in London earlier this month, marking his first public appearance since being cleared of child abuse charges in June.
The track was originally entitled "From The Bottom Of My Heart" but is to be renamed according to Raymone Bain, Jackson's spokesperson.
Ms Bain said: "Michael didn't need as many artists as he originally had planned for."
"There are others who have to lay vocals as well."
"Michael plans on getting together with them for the chorus. We still have two to three more steps before the song will be ready for release."
