Michael Jackson was mobbed by over-excited fans during his first visit to London since his child sex abuse trial.
The eccentric singer was visiting Madame Tussauds waxworks museum yesterday (09.10.05) during a stay in the capital when a horde of admirers surrounded him.
The 47-year-old star - who was accompanied by his three children, Prince Michael Jr, Prince Michael II and Paris-Michael, who had their faces covered with scarves - shielded his face as he struggled to walk through the crowd.
The day before, Jackson had been thrown to the ground by a crowd of fans as he took his children to see a West End musical 'Billy Elliot'.
Jackson - who is in the UK to record Hurricane Katrina charity song 'From The Bottom Of My Heart', was helped off the pavement and taken to safety by security.
An onlooker revealed: "Michael was trying to protect his children as they walked through the crowd but it was absolute chaos. He lost his footing and fell onto the pavement."
